really interested in the group buy. one question though with this item. does anyone know what the cost with the group buy with shipping included? seeing as how i live in Rochester, NY if the group buy plus shipping costs more then the header does by itself then it would make more sense for me to just order it and pick it up myself!!

Stainless steel when heat wrapped retains moisture and when heat cycled several dozen times, it makes the metal more brittle and forces a tendency for weld and material break down.

So long as your custom s-pipe mates to the factory header, yes it will fit fine.

Shipping will probably be around $15. Hardly worth the gas and time cost.

How long are you holding the group buy open? What is the cut-off date?

Hey, just a quick question. Would using a wrap that DOESN'T require wetting it first do any harm to a SS header?

IE: http://www.designengineering.com/cat...-lr-technology

Just curious, I've been running it on my header for awhile with no problems, but I might just be one lucky duck?

I still personally would not do it. It may be fine....

What with the hype of heat wrap anyway?

My underhood temps were a bit ridiculous without it, wrapping helped bring them down dramatically.

It was just something I wanted to try, and was fairly pleased with the outcome. If it does rust through or break, you can bet I will post it as soon as it does to keep others from damaging their equipment though!
