Hi, I just bought M1 synthetic oils with M1 oil filter. I was doing oil change myself and when I took off the old oil filter (OE) I realized M1 oil filter is much smaller than OE one. It says M1-103 extend performance filter and costed me $10.99. Is this right oil filter for tc?

Yes, that is the correct filter. It is the same one that I used till I compared an M1 filter to the bosch filter. They looked identical so now I use the 4.99 filter rather than the 10.99 filter

nothing is better than a toyota filter, othewise they would use it. Next time go to the dealer and save yurself a cuple dollars and get a filter made specificaly for your car.

oh sorry i didnt mean to sound like it was the wrong filter, in fact i had that exact filter on my car before last oil change, i just like getting parts straight from mother if you knw what i mean.

 

Yeah, it's the right one. Infact, it's made by the same people and same design as STP as Supertech as well, from Champion Labs. They somehow decided our engines can take the same filters as the small Corolla engines, and that's why you see a smaller filter.
