DIY: Tenzo R Cold Air Intake installation guide 07+ tC
no CEL problems yet. i have about 500 miles on them already.
i would refrain from purchasing this CAI for the tC at least until they fix their product and actually TEST FIT it on an actual tC instead of just releasing it with no prior test (which it seems is what they did)

From what i read it looks like there is a lot of issues with this intake, not to mention that is an exact copy of the injen. same pipe diameter, same bends. now whe have to see if its worth the money. take it to the dyno and let us know.
(Just a Suggestion) hey...you should pop off that lower grill, (where vrd fogs are usually places). My friend told me that you can feel the difference & you definitely can; cause the airflow goes straight to the filter. Just make sure you stay away from waters... ---or am i wrong---
So I've been getting some questions recently about this intake...
1) I've received no CEL problems. So no need to worry about that occurring if everything was installed correctly.
2) Fitment problems, the only MAJOR problem that I had was that one of the bracket was not long enough to reach the chassis. You can see from the pictures the huge gap. Yes, I've tried attaching the bottom ground part to different locations to see if it would make the reach better, but it does not.
3) Fitting it through the side hole was pretty difficult... though there are others who say it was easy. I guess i'm just weak! =)
So yea, the only main problem was the bracket not lining up correctly. But hey, I've drove way more than 5000 miles already with that bracket not in and it's still pretty good with no problems. I DO highly recommend getting DocI's panels for it. That's the only thing that's keeping mine in place and not shaking around in the engine by.
For the price, it's worth it for me (and for many others). It was too much of a hassle to put in, and way more of a hassle to take it all off. That's why I didn't return mine. Tenzo probably got tons of complaints, but few returns for this reason.

My CEL keeps coming back on with this intake. But you can definatly feel the difference as i just put the stock intake back on for the cars 5000mile oil change and check up at the dealer
And i thought i was crazy for feeling a noticable difference too.. But u really can! It might be a 8-10 WHP "peak" HP gain but the punch and peddle feel is improved alot! And I am no newbie to building cars/bikes so this isnt a ricer seat of the pants feel here.... This is my GFs car and she even feels the difference. Said its very obvious.
I think the nice power gain is mostly because of how small the intake tube goes down too after the air box as its smaller then the throttle body! That right there will make a big difference. Your only getting as much air in as your smallest restrictor on your intake track....

I looked for a fuse to pull that would reset the CEL and not reset the stereo etc.. but I havent found it. I always have to pull the battery terminal and let it set there for a few minutes, then reconnect it. I would also like to know if there is just a fuse u can pull.
haha i'm pretty sure you can set your stereo settings back up within 30 secs also... =)
CEL problems shouldn't be because it's an 09 since there is nothing different between that and 08's (mine). It has to be a connection that's loose or something not on correctly (since Tenzo just grabbed Injen/AEM's intake and rebadged it basically)

I have double and even tripled checked for anything to be loose.. Its all on there solid... It just keeps getting the CEL with the CAI for some reason... Doesnt run bad or anything, it actually runs alot better with the CAI on.
My GF is throwing a fit about the CEL.... So the sooner I get this figured out the better off I am lol.
