it dosent add hp to the engine, if thats what you are asking. It will, however:

-Reduce Wheel Hop
-Reduce that thudding noise when you are accelerating hard
-allow more torque/power to the wheels

I took some time and educated myself

yup yup everything he said... basically because AS WE ALL KNOW energy is neither created nor destroyed just changed from form to form .... you essentially eliminate energy loss due to transferance of it in motor movement.

damn you tcguy. oh well ;)

im still debating whether or not i want to put it on.. as i said its never been used.

If you have it, why not put it on? Drive it around for a half hour, put the car through its paces. Then take it off if you dont like it. You can still get good money for it even if you say "used once" on the ebay posting

There has to be a job that pays better than that, man. If you dont mind drama, see if you can get a hosting job at a sit-down restaurant. They usually pay a few bucks above minimum. But I can understand the need for money. You can always get another one later, right?

I need someone elses opinion, but with the ETD on, it feels a lot better in hard cornering. I'm not sure exactly why, maybe the engine throws around the weight distribution a lot, but i corner much more confident with it on.

I have the ingalls and changed out the posts at the ends with poly and that helps out a lot with the vibration and some noise.

Ok, so I was looking at a couple pictures of it mounted, and I was wondering were it mounts on the engine. Anyone got pics of that mount?

I just installed my Ingalls and it HAS increased vibrations quite a bit. I'd be very interested in JUST EXACTLY what you did to eliminate this.....with a photo if you could. It would be greatly appreciated!

I see on the site it improves shifting...?

I'm guessing under hard acceleration only huh?

I got the idea from this post (step 10)
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...stiffy+install

I bought the item from mcmaster carr online with his part numbers. I think it came to $20 shipped, can't remember.

I also have a couple of layers of dynomat.

Open up your hood... Put the car in Neutral w/ the e-brake on and watch when the engine is revved to a high rpm.
The motor pushes itself back in the engine bay, against the back side. Mounting the torque dampener limits that movement so that the down force of the piston or torque is transfered more towards the wheels; instead in the reaction of the motor compensating for an explosion in acceleration.

Stiffer motor mounts will eliminate almost all of that motion, but over time with hard acceleration, all the time, will cause the motor to wear prematurely... .if you are pushing higher then stock power (Turbo or S/C). The torque dampener, slows down the motion of the engine, its basically a miniature shock bar. The engine can still move, but not as much in a short amount of time.
