I got just about the same result my setup is. I think I gained just about 23-24 off those mods.

CAI
Strup Header
Megan S-pipe
Stock Mid-pipe
HKS Hi-Power Exhaust

Thanks!

Ordered the header and s-pipe from monster motor works 565.00 shipped.

The torque curve was pretty good too from 2000 rpm up torque didnt drop below 145 till it hit 5200 rpm.

I thought that Mme stopped making that header? Where did u get it than? And did u need to do the antifouler?
I dont know if they stopped making the header. Ive had mine on for over a year now. I ordered it from pro motion tuning. Here ya go.

Yes it comes with the antifouler, its a good one too. Made from thick stainless steel....good quality shat. The only problem ive had was with the antifouler, the welds around the bung that the antifouler screws into broke. I sent it back to them and they rewelded it and i had it back on my car in 2 weeks. Thanks again to CHRIS W. VERY VERY helpful.

P.S. I think Weapon r is MMW now.

My SRI is from a Camry. When I bought my car Injen didn't sell the SRI they only sold the full length Intake.

It looks a little different than other SRI I've seen on other tC's, but its been working fine since its been on (45,000 miles).

u might see a couple more hp if you went back to 87 octane. no reason for anything higher unless you are using forced induction or higher compression ratio or excessive timing advance. higher octane equals harder to ignite, meaning you prolly arent getting a full burn of all gas vapors. but good numbers

for some reason.. i used 87 octane for about 2 gas tanks worth maybe 3 and my car ran like crap.. when i jumped to 93 the difference was night and day.. car ran way better... had better acceleration.... this was when all i had was a CAI... ive never since gone back to 87... only once and the same crap happend.. horrible performance... went back to 93... car was great!

I had the same exsperiance with my car. Ran 87 for a couple weeks with the same things happening. Say what you want, but 93 seems to run better in my car

your butt dyno must be magical or something. it's all in your head man. seriously.. run what the manufacturer tells you to run. unless you're boosted of course.

i guess my car belongs on Mythbusters. Cuz I've raced on 93 and on 87. On 93 i win. On 87 i loose. Go figure?? And this is against a K swapped EK4dr with a good driver.

Only time I loss was when i was on 87 and the car idled like crap, wasted tons of gas, and had no *****. My butt dyno doesn't lie. And neither does winning a race against cars I've raced before.

^^^Im with you. My idle sucked then one day just last week i stopped by the gas station to fill up and the only pump working was the 93 octane so i said f it. Later on I noticed my idle was a lot smoother.

is 91 octane that much different to 93?

very curious about this octane experimentation business
i go through a tank a week.. i shall try those other 2 pumps that i would otherwise scoff at and see what happens!

is it weird that at stop lights i put the car in neutral to get that smooth idle feel? keeping in mind i have a stock automatico...

Its completely normal that to get a good smooth idle you have to put it in "N".
An auto matic in gear, sitting at a stop light (dead stop) still has the crank spinning. There is no clutch in the sense that it completely disengages the transmission. Instead there is a torque converter to keep the car from talling at a stop. This makes the ilde, less than perfect when in gear at a stop.

Put it in "N" and the transmission is completely disengaged, like a manual in neutral.

Still smooth, but i wish i had a tune. Wont be long till i get a e-manage....or something like that. When i get my tax return, depending on how much i get back... then i will have a better idea when i can get one.

Anyone know what would work for me. I dont plan on going FI so would the e-manage blue work or the AEM be better. I would hope to get an additional 20 to 30 hp with a tune, would that be correct?

Thanks for the info
