Do you race any? Have you turned on the 2step launch control in the Ultimate, or raised the RPM's up from the stock 6250?

The power peaked at 5600 rpm, therefore there would be no point to raise the limiter.

I don't race so I'm not going to turn on the 2step.

I tried to get the harness from GReddy but they wouldn't sell it unless you were buying it with one of their turbos or something like that. Let me know how you make out.

Oh and I filled up again last week. I got about 27.5 MPG. That was after my normal driving for about a week. The first gas mileage numbers were not from my normal driving. I had done a lot of highway driving that week. So I got about +2 MPG. I'm still keeping track.

I don't race so I'm not going to turn on the 2step.

You can still shift before or at 5600rpm's. The extra rpm would be beneficial for the 1/4 mile as you would be redlining in 4th gear as you come across the beams.

But anyhow, you don't race.....so what do you mod for? Show car?

For right now, show car and just to have the extra power. But I am going to start racing this year.

Tuning the N/A'ed 2az is definitely a must. The stock tune for the car sucks BIG ONES! At WOT it runs mid to low 12's A/F ratio. In 5th gear at WOT, it dips into the 11's. That's a tune I would have for a Turbo tC, not a N/A'ed one. Loosing all kinds of power that way. Ultra conservative from the factory.

I didn't do a stock dyno run but I'm sure there must be some numbers out there. I'm guessing it's about 147 WHP stock? Can anyone confirm that? Or get some real numbers?

No one still has setup the 2step launch on their N/A'ed tC? I'm working on mine right now (since I'm in between turbo kits and currently running N/A).

I've seen many stock tc dyno's and they have been around 140 whp and 150 wtq

Any updates? This is an interesting thread, other than a few reports of N/A tunes with Camcons, this is the first time I've seen someone post up actual gains tuning a N/A with bolt ons engine and actually getting some decent gains. I have seen a lot of "don't do that" comments when people would ask about it though...
