yeah, I'm thinking that also, but it makes me wonder why the previous owner of the header/s-pipe did not throw a CEL....

these meaning.......?

Assuming you mean the MMW, I literally only have that performace wise installed. Yes, there is a little bit of rasp, but it's COMPLETELY STOCK except for the header. If CC.com ships my exhaust next week (which they said it would ship today [Thursday]), then without putting it on I can basically guarantee that there will be no rasp.

The gains throughout the powerband are incredible. It fun keeping it in gear in 3k+ rpms then mashing it to get in front of that douchebag that's driving next to you on purpose just so you can't merge (oh how I love socal).

The only time I really hear rasp is in the higher rpms (3k+) and at an idle while everything around me is silent or if I'm outside of the car. With an exhaust, I again can basically guarantee that there will not be any rasp at all judging by how little rasp there is now.

The one line that I can say to describe the MMW header:
With the "issues" regarding other headers such as rasp, low-end tq, fitament, etc., I'm more than 100% glad with the fact that I bought this header vs. another competitor.

Sorry we haven't replied in a while guys. I am taking James' place for scion information.

We just finished installing the Hotchkis TVS system on the TC (springs, sways, and Strut Tower Bar). It is an amazing upgrade for suspension and handleing. I will post pics of the car once everything settles and we get it cleaned up. It really helps out with the wheel gap in the front, and adds a very noticeable difference to the handeling characteristics of the car.

Also, we have been getting various intake systems in, and our intake dyno shoot-out will begin once we receive all the systems we want to test.

If you have any questions, please let me know....i hope to give as much information as possible to the scion community

Got it on this past Saturday. I plan on posting multiple clips.

No rasp at all, just rumble rumble rumble..... :D

I gotta find some time to actually make the clips....and a street to do it on. The thing is pretty loud...even with a resonator. Maybe this weekend......we're putting on my g/f's exhaust this saturday. Same exact thing except no other mods. Oh, and I bought the cc s-pipe for her.

I'm pretty sure that the sound will be completely different. (duh)

Anyway, look out for the post. I haven't had much time to do anything lately....I haven't even visited the forums in at least 2 weeks.

I will post eventually though.....

A hi-flow and a resonator should remove a lot of the rasp, if not all.

CC.com suggests a cat no matter what unless you like nothing but rasp if you have a header. They also suggest to stay away from the Flowmaster. I made a few clips in car while on the way to work today but I'm pretty sure they came out crappy. Too many idiots going 25 on a 45.....if you live in my area, you can guess which city I was driving through... :\

That's a negative. I need to find a shop open on weekends, and I need to figure out how to stop throwing the damn CEL first

I believe DC sport will follow up with a ss header, in the mean time I hope that nobody would consider that ceramic coated crap. I think things coated in ceramic are great but in combination with mild steel and DC sports reputation for cracking at the welds would be a real loss for anyone. Pay the extra and get the ss. If you have the cc DC sport headers or are considering them- " I'd give them about three years or less till they crack. If you don't belive me do the research yourself.
