Ignition and timing question
hey everyone,
i was wondering, does anyone sell an ignition box for our cars?? and will it help my performance any?? also, i was wondering about advancing the timing to increase some power...is uni-chip the way to go due to our smart ECU??
Thanks everybody!

the stck ecu is very optimized fr our cars in stock form. Even modified the smart ecu learns pretty well. There really isnt much to gain unless you make some big changes (turbo, internals etc.) But the car is factory tuned for 87 octane so there could be a horse or two to be gained from increase ign timing and 93 octane.
The unichip works very well but its hard to get it tuned. It needs t be done by a certified unichip tuner, i dont know if you have one locally.
The greddyemanage and emanage ultimate are the most popular and can even be tuned by you if you have a laptop. It also has plug and play harnesses available from just abut everyone so there is no splicing of the factory harness. If you go turb you can run it off of an optional map sensor that reads boost to better cntrol the tune under part throttle where the stock ecu tries to take over. Combined with dezods "black box" its the closest thing to a factory turbo car you can get without spending serious coin on a standalone.
