That heatshield only works if the intake is close to the exhaust manifold. The overall air in the hood gets warm and the intake is nowhere near a heatsource, so i dont think it will be effective.

wrong, i had an injen technology cold air, actually short ram, whatever, anyway, it was on the right side of the engine, as is the my tc and it will help, the heat disperses over the whole engine bay, not just near the exhaust manifold, although it is hotter there, the heat shield would be a good choice, go for it.

I was actually thinking of getting a heat sheild for my Injen CAI but use it more as a splash gaurd than a heat shield. Since I do notice that there is quite a bit of water spray inside there when it rains.

Your making no sense, the air drawn into the engine will be the same temp do to the locating of the filter cone. The heatshield is only useful if the cone filter is placed near the exhaust manifold. It helps deflect excess heat away from the airstream. If the shield is simply placed on a filter near an even temperature location in the hood it will draw warm air the shield will not lower the temperature.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing Keith. ;) Well if it didn't say Injen, then it would be a nice look if nothing else.
