i know this has been done .. but with other mufflers .. anyone know the performance differences between these 3 mufflers? sound differences? ive seen pics of the Injen and TRD .. lookin for a decent pic of the Borla Cat Back and is it really worth it .. heard 8hp and 12lb/ft tq gain .

 

I had the borla catback on my 95 Golf and it was amazing. The sound is deep and not ricey whatsoever. As far as comparing it to Injen and TRD, I can't really say anything about the others since I haven't researched, and or heard them. When I got the dyno on my VW w/ Borla, i got an increase of 9hp/12 tq

 

with just an axleback expect anywhere from 3 to 6 hp at the wheels, the stock muffler on the TC is very restrictive. Now if you supercharge or Turbo it expect maybe 10 or 12 depending on boost. I still havent seen a picture of the borla axleback.
