Get a jackstand, please. Don’t cut corners when it comes to safety.

For a true CAI you need access to the area behind the plastic fender lining to put the filter on... You could attempt to just turn the wheels, but then you're dealing with a space that 10" off the ground and behind at least part of a wheel... it's a lot easier to pop the wheel off and safely remove the plastic cover. AND YES USE 2 DAMN JACKSTANDS.... don't kill yourself and make tC drivers looks bad please.

jackstands are cheap insurance and there is no reason not to use them if you put any value in the safety of yourself or others.

jackstands can be as cheap as 12 bucks a set. as everyone said, it's a cheap safety measure. if you dont have time to get a set, just stick your wheel under your car. just in case the jack doesn't hold up... the car will land on the wheel and not on the ground, but you might end up with a messed up wheel.

lol you guys are too funny, im getting jack stands. Trust me i value my car as much if not more as the next guy. Anyway i did the install as a short ram for now and really like it. Actually LOVE it but until the torrential rain storms and small flash floods stop i will not be converting to a full CAI any time soon......Anyone from South Florida understands what i mean!!!

andiii123 - instructions were included with the product.

How much power will I sacrifice if I use the short ram instead of the full CAI? Yes I know cold air is better for the engine.

Whats wrong with taking off a wheel. Taking off the bumper is probably more work. I only removed the fender lining and not the whole bumper.

omg, i just installed the cai. it is a must to take off the wheel!!!!! omg, u have to take off the wheel, taking off the bumper didnt even do much. if u take the wheel out and move the mud guard, ur basically done. i scratched the f%#k out of my pipe tryin to fit it in without moving the wheel, so i suggest u guys follow the instructions that come with the intake! took me like 3 hours to do all of this work, but it was well worth it. the sound that it makes is soo sexy that it turns me on!!!!!!!!

the only problem that i found, was that there is this rubber tube connected to a plastic thing that used to connect to the old air filter box, i took it off, and did not kno where it goes after, i noticed that the injen cai had a place for it, but they made the medal piece wrong for it to go in!!! it really ____ed me off, so i just tied it down to another wire to hold it in place.
