Intake is an Intake for the most part! I've had my K&N since it first came out, no problem. No breaking and K&N is known for their filters! But do what you want
ok, i was thinking of the Injen, but i do not want to take off my bumper to install it lol.

ALSO, since i got the DC SPORT Header, i have heard that since it doesn't have any mountings, that it can crack the welds, is that true? anything i can do to prevent that?
You can get the Ingalls "Stiffy" engine dampener and it will help with that. It also helps with wheel hop and a few other things

i dont know why people here are talking crap about injen, hey engifineer do a research and know what you talk before you talk. injen its dyno proven not only on our cars but in other cars such as mitsu, nissan, etc.. i got one and i definatively noticed a big diff in hp to the wheels(6whp). so i suggest you buy the intake.

In all honesty engifineer is one of the most knowledgeable members on SL. Period! So He does know what he's talking about as far as I've seen. Not every car is the same either so just because something works well on one car doesn't mean it will work on another. I can tell you right now that Nissan MAF's don't like Injen intakes at all. That's from experience.

I don't totally agree with an intake being for looks but everyone has had different experiences so it's a toss up. According to Injen it's about a 6hp gain and is the best one on the market IMO. I have an Injen SRI on my xB and it made a difference. So

Oh and "an intake is an intake" is not true at all. Injen intakes are designed to deliver the most air as possible with as little turbulence. I'm not about to get into the technical crap here but there are huge differences in tuned intake and pipe bent to fit the car.
