yea i have a wideband.. im running rich all through out the rpms range.. the p&p will cause the ecu to toss out more fuel into the system because its reading hella more air now then before. i need an ems soon so i can start to tune it. i was going to try the echo ecu because the pins are the same but the processor is slower and can be controlled.. i picked that up in the camry and echo forums.. i would compare it to chipping and running your own programs or aftermaket programs like a honda. i know its not like running a mugen or sk2 program on a p28 but in concept its the same.. again im just gonna try to see what i can do. if i cant then ill still be falling back on the emanage-ult. Im running a few tenths richer then the stock setting throughtout the power band.. not alot but enough to notice its running rich.. ill see if i can dig out my last dyno so u can see.. oh BTW i got an extra 8-10hp from my very very mild polish.. ill be going back after thanksgiving to do a more aggressive job.. i should gain a few more ponies by then also.. i just couldnt do as much as i wanted because its my daily and i use it alot. ill keep u posted. but then i also have an ITB setup in the works also got pics of that if u wana see.

How would a mild aggresive port affect DD?

nothing really.. very drivable.. very throttle responsive.. defenitely alot faster then before.. maybe a tad less in gasmileage but thats because im running rich lol.. but that will be corrected once im tuned.. but its fine.. honestly the biggest thing this motor needs help on is heat soak. if you can also control some of that + high temps that will give you a bigger advantage.

To control some high temps, I would Jet-Coat the header, maybe heat wrap or insulate the intake tract, and also e better thermostat so the car would be running a tad colder. What do you think. I won't be doing the Jet-Hot coating on the header, but I will be insulating the intake arm to let the heat out of the metal. Also I bought a new thermostat for the tC, its a 160F one.

yea the thermostat will help and thats what i plan on doing to my intake.. wrapping it with some header wrap to keep it cool.. im basically waiting for my header to arrive to do it all.. DEI or thermotec wrap should work great.

I got black DEI for the intake. It looks way better than the brownish cream color.

Well I updated the waiting on parts section in the first post. I got a throttle body spacer. Before you start jumping on your keyboard because I wasted money on this I just got it to see for myself any differenece, ANY difference. Please don't bash me. I had the money for this laying around so I got it. No Harm done. :D Thanks.

Well, another part arrived today. Now I only need the thermostat to start working on this and add a high grade coolant. And for lower intake temps, wrap the Intake in insulation wrap. Look at my new babies. :D

Well guys, still in the look for a tuner. The choices have been narrowed down to 3. Seems tuners are very busy this next weeks, since it's before X-mas time and that's when the air is the coldest here and the best to rune at the tracks. At least I see it like that. I hope I finish this before going in Dec 21 to Orlando Fl. That's my goal. Spend at least in 3 hours to 4 in tuning at the dyno. Another hour at the street, and then hit the track and see the results. I will be hitting the lean side at WOT at 13.1AFRs. At Idle and cruise I will be at 14.7-15.1 AFRs. Already found the A/F tuning Option for the Greddy Ultimate, to hook up my wideband to it. Now all I need is my thermostat to start working on the radiator side. My Insulator Wrap and Throttle Body Spacer for my Intake Side. Install the Catch Can to lower EGTs. And waiting for the Creative Compacts 3 Pod Gauges Pillar, that without it, I can't install any of my gauges. It seems I will be changing my oil soon to install the Oil Sandwish Plate, bad news with it are, than my syntethic oil doesn't even have 2,500-3000 miles on it. So I kind of wasted money on this. But no worries. Well, what's next is waiting for the parts to arrive. And without the Pillar Pods, I can't do.... well, you get the point. Also, do you guys think that the EGT gauge will read okay at the collector side alright? I kind of know it will be on the -200F* down there. So I kind of now that I can't surpass the 1250F* mark if I install it there, right?

Well, new updates. Today I got the thermostat for 160F. Some say this will be too cold, but I think I'll take my chances for optimun temp would be 170F. 10* won't affect me that much here in PR. Where it is hot almost all the time. Even at X-mas.

Thermostat 160F

Under this conditions, here in PR:
at 7:20PM
Outside Temp:

Coolant Temp in Gauge Measurement:

OBDII Program Coolant Temp at Idle:

For tuning purposes an for the people who want to see how much Ignition Timing the Stock ECU advances, here u go.

Ignition Timing Advancement at Idle:

At 2007 RPM:

At 3167 RPM:

Hope that clears some issues with tuning for u guys. When guessing how much timing is advanced with 87 octane and with the stock ECU.

Quick question??...That oil sandwich plate, thats for you oil pressure gauge, is that right. If so, with that plate do you still use the size oil filter as factory or do you have to change....sorry if I hijack.....

Good Luck though, I definately wanna watch this being that me and like everyone else want more power!!.....
