Default Is this normal?

so i went to the drag strip and was doin 1/4 on a stock TC with just TRD exhaust and was running 16.52 was my best is that normal or should it be better

should be better, stock 5 spd tc should run 15.6. you need some improvement.

its an auto with 18in wheels but that shouldnt make that big of a difference

oh, well, you didn't say auto, yes, it does make a difference, autos are considerably slower than 5 spds, and the bigger wheels slow down the car alittle because they are added rotational mass.

the trd exhaust doesn't actually do anthing other than sound cool.

Yeah, I think low 16's is about all you can expect on an auto, even on 17s. Mid 15's on a 5 spd.

yeah, the trd doesn't do anything, and the 18's would hurt your overall acceleration....but its an auto.....what was your method of launching, as this would effect your time....remember the race is won at the launch!! lol trap speed, reaction, etc???

my reaction was pretty good it was .45 and i trapped speed at 82.7mph

wat do you mean what did i use for bait. and wat i am going to do with this trapped speed is make it higher.

to catch the really good speed, make sure your bait is firmly mounted....

good posts on this thread... i like where its heading.

As far as improving your time, better tires can help a lot with the launch, but other than that, replace the whole exhaust, or go turbo.

a torque dampener drastically improves wheel hop....definetly a good mod for the money!!
