A Novel "Once apon a time my SSM TC got F.I/ OMG!"
It was my 31st birthday last Wed. June 20th. I woke up 20 minutes earlier that day. To make sure I had enough time to take a shower and straighten out my hair.
Before I knew it, I was on my way to work. With my sunroof open and the sound of my TRD exhaust softly growling. I sped away in the fast lane driving a little faster than usual.
I found myself at the Toyota Dealership in Valencia, CA. I opened my door and jumped out of my silver streak mica 2005 Scion TC. I was in front of the Parts Sales Department.
There was sales man behind the desk with a bright crisp Toyota shirt greeting me at the door. “What can we get you today?” he asked.
I took one glance over the freshly stocked accessories and I knew exactly what I wanted.
I took out my arm and grabbed all three accessories I wanted as I walked up to the counter.
What I laid on the counter. Was not a TRD Supercharger, nor was it TRD springs. Nor were they any big awesome part that most people brag to one another over coffee in the break room.
It was a handful of goodies that I haven’t had a chance to buy nor install that I did want. But, didn’t know they were out or ever made. You might think I am an idiot for not knowing every part made my TRD, AEM, and OMX. And you are right…I should…I just had a miss conception on some things…like the pedals…
I think some things are just not covered on forums on the internet or even magazines, or even if you visit a company’s website directly. You will never know how something will perform or look until you look at yourself or have the chance to use it.
I found some great things out on my birthday. I found out that OMX makes some really sick pedals for the TC and look really nice.
These looked compared to something VW would charge you at least $100 for and would call them the R series....To complement there R32…VW flagship of small sports coupe…
That’s another reason I love the TC so much. The car wasn’t too expensive and neither do the aftermarket parts for it. Don’t get me wrong…We can still pay a arm and a leg for parts…But, If you don’t want to Scion nor Toyota tells you , “you have to” This has been by far one of the greatest experiences with a car and a car company.
Its funny, I was going to buy another VW after being poorly treated by VW. But, the night before I traded in my 2002 1.8T Jetta, I found myself on a Toyota Dealership looking at the cars. It was way past the salespersons bedtimes and my wife and I were night shopping in the parking lot.
Are eyes were quickly diverted to the Sexiest Car we ever had seen. The car stood broad with a very aggressive hood that looks too nice for a sion or a Toyota to me. I thought someone must have just misplaced it.
I was surprised to continue to find out very impressive little details on the car that just made my heart pump faster and faster. When I finally reached the sticker price and the dealer sheet in the passenger window.
My palms were sweaty and I was just too eager to see how much it cost. Because I knew there was no way in hell that I could afford this car. $17K…..Seventeeeeeennnnn I read slowly to my wife as a childish but worthy smile emerged from my face….
TO BE CONTINUED….
If you want to read more, please let me know! I don’t want this story/thread to turn poopie. I enjoy writing and sharing my stories and adventures with the 2005 SSM TC.
I just got back from an exciting road trip and have tons I want to share.
Thanks

nice novel. Our cars are great, cant be beaten for the value. Unlike my last car I find myself, when bored, driving around town in no real direction just so I can drive. Even though gas is outrageous I just deal with it.
P.s. im sure you could care less but I think its OBX.
