Unhappy Oil Light Flickering...Problem Solved (worn Rod Bearing)

I will Start from the beginning.

All I did was a Simple replace the Valve Cover because I got it Powdered Coated. I have previously taken off the VC before and popped it on without ANY kind of issues.

This time for some reason has sprung into a Domino Effect of problems.

First I had Loss of Power & Acceleration Hesitation Issues & Hard Idling.

I fixed that issue with checking on the Coil Packs etc..

Then did a test Drive...While on that test Drive when I was at Idle at a stop light I saw the Oil Light start to flicker but only at a stand still...Would disappear while the car was in motion.

So I thought maybe the VC Gasket was doing it I bought a New VC Gasket and started all over again...That didnt fix anything...I also made sure the VC Screws were tight by added some Med. Locktight on them.

I contacted my friend thats pretty good at Car tech stuff...he suggested to get Oil Cleaner Flush & then do a complete Oil Change...Did that.

It worked for about 10mins of driving then the Oil Flicker Light came back.

Then I was suggested to replace the Oil Pressure Switch & PVC Valve. I replaced both....Did a Test Drive and STILL after about 10-15mins of driving getting the Oil Flicker Light!!

Can anyone help me out please?

I just cant believe I messed up the car just by a Valve Cover replacement

Thanks in Advance!

Wouldn't think it's being caused by the valve cover. I would recommend getting an oil pressure tester and test your oil pressure. It screws into the oil pressure sensor hole.

Found out today its a worn Rod bearing...Basically need a new engine now!...WTF!

I guess when I switched out the Valve Cover my dumb butt must got some debris in there and F'ed up the Oil Squirters and caused a domino effect of badness

So super bummed...I took emaculate maintenance care of my car too...Just by not making sure the VC was clean...I screwed up royally now.

Lesson Learned the hard way I guess.
