I gave you a valid response on the other thread, only you ignored it apparently. Stop creating new threads asking the same question.

I say stop crossing your legs and drive a real mans car, "A Standard". If you go and waste countless hours and money on this Paddle Shifter idea, you would be a fool, unless your blessed with having millions of dollars and alot of time on your hands. Thank You and have a wonderful glorious day.
So your sayin that driving a Nissan GTR makes you a boy without *********? hmm the last time I checked, the GTR model was solely based on a paddle shift system that shifts faster than a human can. I know a dude who has paddle shifters for his IS300 and that thing shifts smooth and fast. Yes its kinda pointless to have paddle shifters on an economy car but this kind of idea is what separates a normal car from a unique car. If what your saying is true than other people might as well say dont cry poor man, its not our fault you cant afford a car with paddle shifters. Now dont get me wrong I see where your coming from but you got to lay of the harsh comments especially when this dude is asking for some support.

The GTR having paddles is one of the points that most enthusiasts consider a bad thing. Traction control paddle shifters, etc are all nice ways of not allowing you to learn to drive a sports car, yet look like you can. Some like em, but that doesnt make it a drivers car either. Just because a car made for the average rich guy to drive fast on a track every now and then without killing himself has them does not make them what everyone wants. Dont get me wrong, the GTR is a nice car, but I would much rather shift myself using a real manual gearbox. To me that is part of being a good driver, not a decent driver in a smart car. You could also argue that a car that just drives itself around the track for you is better Then you could just sit there and look cool.

I personally was glad they took traction control back away from F1 drivers, and wish the paddles would go next. Shifting is a very large part of driving the car.

And to create a REAL sequential paddle setup that works like that, you will spend as much as the tC costs since those are a computer controlled manual gearbox, not a cheapo automatic with a paddle system like 99% of cars with flappy paddles have.

Maseratti's paddles shifters were hated by most as well until they spent a few years trying to get them right.

That was my nice, practical response in his last thread. It takes a LOT of work and know how to make them work right (using a manual gearbox). So the other option that is more realistic for a person to do (and still takes work) would be to take an auto tC and put paddles on it.. so it would still be a slow shifting slushbox with paddles on the wheel Just like most cars that have them.
