Problems with injen intake
In short - how can I stop the rattling and metal on metal issues? I tried foam, neoprene, and the Doc CAI Panel - same issue. It just rattles like crazy and I tried a few times to fix it already with no success
Anyway can help please....?

Hmm - I dunno then :/
I really want this thing to be fixed, but it keeps on having issues. I don't want to convert to a SRI, but if I still have problems I will have no choice. I will try the Doc and Rubber piece one more time and hope for the best.
Wish me luck!!!

If you put in the rubber piece around that oddly shaped hole in the fender wall, and use doc I's CAI panel, I don't see how the intake could possibly rub there and make noise. Maybe it's rattling somewhere else???
My Doc Iso CAI panel didnt really help any. But thats either the hole cutout was off or the Injen intake wasnt designed that good. i love the feel of the intake but it rubbed no matter what i did. i didnt really have a rattle but id rather have a rattle then metal on metal rubbing. I do have a little rattle now in colder weather and on acceleration but thats cause i put a rubber coupler in the 2 spots it was rubbing although they are the cheap spectre ones so they are really hard. But id rather have the rubber to metal. So i deal with it. But once i get my exhaust i wont here it. But I may get back under there and try a for more things before i give up and just allow it to rattle.
Put some foam camper tape on the inside of the fender where the intake comes in contact with the fender...seriously don't know why Injen didn't either design it better or include something in the kit to counter-act this. Every Injen CAI I have installed had this same problem....especailly 07+
When I did my first Doc CAI setup I had issues with rubbing so I put some rubber in between the CAI and the metal and it was fine. So then I took it apart again to see how I could fix it. Turns out I couldn't and then took it out and went with neoprene and foam.
Here is a picture of what it looked like with the Doc I in place.
Please keep in mind that the drawing is not to scale, nor is the pipe - but you get the idea (I hope). The pipe is getting pushed onto the metal causing issues with rattling and worse of all...rubbing.

Even when I put a piece of rubber in between it "eats" it away and then it starts to rub again.

Please let me know if you still have any issues seeing it.
I see what your talking about now. My bad. Anyways i really dont think I am having that problem where you are. I will have to look again but i didnt notice anything when i took mine out to readjust it and put the couplers on. I am having problems was having problems with mine hitting the fender and the plastic wheel well shield.
Well, for now I took off the extension tube to make it a SRI. Once I took it off, I realized how "bad" shape the tube was in. Not only was there was the metal on metal, but the pipe was partially dented due the vibrations
