Anything is possible with cold hard cash...
spend about 100k on ur tC motor and ull be runnin 400 whp N/A. Just have to make all custom lightweight high strength everything.

Toyota F1 Team can make a N/A V10 with over 900
Not a good enough example?
HONDA makes the RA001E, V10 that is a 3 LITRE ENGINE, N/A, with 795 BHP.
And you say a Toyota 2.5 litre could not make 400?
And dont come at me with that "OmfG tHe v!0 mAkeS iT pWn!!!" a 3 liter is a 3 liter, with one billion pistons, or one piston. Mazda made a 1.8 Litre v6 and it made a whopping 130 Engine HP. Toyota's 1.8 Litre makes 164 Engine HP (Corolla). Extra pistons don't matter much.
You seriously need to consider MONEY into this equation like I said earlier. That and get off your "pedestool of knowledge" you think you are on.

# of pistons absolutely does matter. more moving parts=more friction/heat=more stress on motor=decreased durability.
also, displacement is not the be-all/end-all factor in making power.
and i don't even know why u are comparing raced prepped V8s and V10s to a i4 toyota camry motor.
no one is saying you couldn't take the 2az BLOCK, put 100k in it and make 400whp....they're just saying the YOU won't/can't. set more realistic goals for yourself i think is the message.
and if you don't know what you're talking about/doing, then drop it.

Let's say, just for the sake of discussion, that 400whp is possible NA. Yet you want it to pass a smog test too? Care to share whatever it is you're smoking?
even if you had unlimited $$$, every engine has a mechanically limited output...determined by the displacement, bore and stroke, compression ratio, weight of the internals, friction, heat.
and no, a 1 cylinder 2L engine is not the same as or comparable to a 2L V6.
