I brought my car to toyota for an oil change friday and spefically told them that I use synthetic but they ended up putting regular oil into my car. The tech that worked on it took it for a spin and when he gave me back my keys that's when I asked him if they put synthetic in my car and he said no because they never told him so he went back and put synthetic in my car. Will that hurt my engine?

it wont hurt it..i dont understand why everyone freaks out when this happens...they do offer a synthetic blend that is dino oil mixed with synthetic..so this situation def. wont do any harm.

 

Today's synthetic oil is a little more "flexible." So you can mix. Back then, It was a don't mix deal. Mobil 1 isn't fully Synthetic anymore from what I've read.
