Scion tC Performance Chip?
Is the performance chip worth it for a Scion tC with just a CAI and nice exhaust system, and if it is, does anyone know what would be the best to buy?

unichip is a piggyback ecu that has to be tuned, and can only be tuned by a unichip tuner.
there are other better ones like emanage or aem f/ic, but they really don't get much more power on tc's without a turbo or supercharger.

it changes your ignition timing and the amount of fuel that the engine adds. but the car is pretty much already tuned to the max for running n/a. and would only help the car out when you turbo or supercharger it.
to use a piggyback chip, you have to get it, either hardwire it in, or get plug and play harnesses, so that is about 800 dollars at most, the you need to have it specifically tuned to your car. and because the tc has a learning ECU, it will eventually over power the piggyback and not listen to it anymore, and performance will return to normal.
