Default So my engine is totalted and idn what to do lol

so my engine started making a knocking sound so i took it to toyota/ i was previsoly turbo on a zpi stage 0 untuned and i never got it dynoed but i could beet a stock s2000 / i took that off in agust and than this happened on monday so i parked it and drove it to toyota and toyota said i bent a rod i forget where but mabay piston i forget i coouldnt understand the guy on the phone but i was woundering if there was an easy engines swap for the tc like a cecilca gts motor i think its a 2.0 but has like 200 hp or would it be easier to find a regular 2azfe (i totalted a 07 tc in 09 and my dad sold it to his friend for like 400 bucks and he hasnt done anything with it last time i talked to him but the engine was still good it started right up and even drove a little so if he still has it we might buy it back and use that engine but id have to swap the ecu and maf and anything eles diffren between of06 tcs and 07 and up tcs)
and help is greatly apareated
i apologize about my terrible spelling lol
oh pps he found only one quart of oil in the engine and there was alot of metal in it so it was considered totaled but he said e might be able to do somthing withe th bottowm end idn he has a deep southern accent up here in md lol

My head ____ing hurts after reading that. You're English teachers would send you back to the 3rd grade with sentence composure like that.

So from what I think I was able to pull from this, was you were a dumb ___, and ran a untuned ecu after putting a turbo on. And now you need a new motor. (no surprise there!)

Simple. The 2.4L is one of Toyota's most common 4 cylinders because it's in the RAV4, Camary, and tC. Call a junk yard, and get a new motor. But this time, don't put a turbo kit on it, with out at least tuning it first.

lol no no no i took the turbo off in august cuz my ecu decided to suffocate the engine with fuel and it was fine un tuned for a while before shotty workman ship done by my friend which left an oil leak somewhere and i wasn't able to find it and it got worse as they usualy do and i heard the ticking not even a week after putting in 2 quarts and i parked it untill i dropped it off at Toyota. like u should see where i park my car its covered in oil right now but i did find that engine with a 30 day warente for $750. i dont plan on keeping the car that long anyway probly till next year so.....i fully accept it was my fault the car has lived a hard life i bought it with 57k miles and had to put its 3rd clutch on it and than all the crap i did to it which made it worse

For starters, you shouldn't of driven that car any further that to a tuner once the turbo was installed.

Then if the car's leaking oil, AND YOU KNOW IT... You should either fix the issue, or continue to check and top off oil.

Basically, natural selection applies more to just human life. But car life too!

yeah yeah yeah i know i F__cked up and thats how i learn pretty much, by messing up so if i do do it again ill do it right which is how it usually goes in my life lol. but i still think im gonna drop another 2az in unless there's an easy swap to get more power but i doubt it

the quart of oil i believe is because the car sat for a week with the leak

do you guys know anything about ZPI, stage 0? how long have they been gone, should tell you tune was not the issue. he also stated about his spelling in the op, sensitive *****. i'd say depends on budget, but i say buy the car back. you can swap crank, and higher comp pistons. (yes im tuned, so spare the importance speech people)

Buy a new motor get it installed by a reputable shop. I cannot stress this enough.. everytime you fill up you should be checking your oil level, These motors burn enough oil as is.

Pay out the ___ for all this. lesson learned.

Where in MD are you? Is this a Mustang specific shop? JPL? ELD? I have seen a few engines on Craigslist before. I'll keep an eye out, a good friend of mine lives in WV, and he finds stuff all the time too.
