So why does adding a header make the terrible raspy sound?

it should as long as its longer than the stock one haha, i heard glass packed ones work well too im not sure?

no, glass packs create a high pitched sounds and are more of a muffler...not a resonator...so to get rid of the rasp...add a large resonator...30+ inches...and as for your comment about the stock civics with header only not making rasp...couldn't be further from the truth as i had one and the first mod i did was header and it was raspy as hell...louder than the tC's rasp also...can't say anything for the prelude though as i've never owned one

haha well i cant defend civics then =P but we all grew up to having TCs, thinking about it, hondas are for kids =D although i do miss the vtec sound
