Sooo.. TWM cable Bushings or Doctor Isotope Cable Bushings..
So im basically trying to decide which ones i should go with, ive heard awesome things about DR I's bushings but TWM's looks good too being Bronzoil and stuff. I do have a Short Shifter so thats not a problem.
Whats everyones input on this?

No need to worry about looks... you won't see them.
I just installed the doc's bushings in my g/f's xD recently. Nice stuff. Remove old washer and bushing, install lower one from the doc, put cable on, install upper piece - reuse OEM retaining clip. Done.

yeah it doesnt seem to difficult to install i jus figures the metal ones would be better no?? but i was plannign on going with dr I anyway until i saw the TWM's. so u say install one at a time? instead of both at the same time?

The plastic the doc uses is pretty damn solid (delrin) so I wouldn't worry about the metal/plastic difference.
Well the easiest thing to do (and what I think he recommends) is to put one half down on the linkage, then fit the cable on that, and then put the upper one in place. But I would imagine you could just snap both sides onto the cable and then put it on the linkage.

Honestly it's not going to matter either way though. They will both do the same job and do it in the same way. If you want to go cheaper for the cable ones, go with TWM (how much is shipping though? the doc's price is shipped).
Personally, I would buy from the doc to support a fellow Scion person... even if it were one or two $ more.

If you want to go really cheap get a pair of sealed bearings from a skateboard, that's what I used on my old eclipse. I went with doc I's kit on theTc, got too lazy to hunt down the sealed bearings again.

haha that worked? lol i coulda used sum bones swiss bearing from my old board.
So i installed these today. it was very easy and simple but it was tight to get into the actual stick thingy lol the Holes in the bushing themselves are very tight to get the thing to go threw them so i had to play with that for a bit to get them to go in all the way, then after installing them went inside the car and checked to see it would go into gear fine and it does but it feel veryvery STIFF/TIGHT in a way. going into gears seem very stiff the whole shifter ingeneral seems stiff. going into first gear it slides in stiff and no click, but going into every gear it clicks but again tight/stiff. is this normal? stock seemed very like "loose/flimsy" this jus seems to feel the gears out is this normal??

oh yeah it worked, felt the same as the doc I bushings. I have the megean short throw and the bushings, its very stiff, but I used to have probs shifting from 5th to 4th before the bushing install, now its easy.

I would pick Doc I. simply cause the material made of delrin and supposedly its "SELF LUBRICANT" as it is plastic which is a bit odd on the safer side. My friend (certified mechanic) says the bronzoil bushings may damage other parts around the bronzoil bushings; though this is just a prediction he claim, both materials will do the same job equally.

Hey I'm in the same predicament I like the TWM just because they give you the retaining pins.... aka I'm doing a manual swap and don't gave them but I think I'm going to go with what the doctor ordered.
