swaps on a tC??
one of my friends is selling a K24 straight out of a Element with only 30k miles on it, its only a 1000 bucks, comes with everything, with 6speed trans, i know its gonna cost alot more then a 1g for the swap, but what kinda swaps has ya done?
differnt? thats just rediculous. im a huge honda fan i have had 2 boosted hondas one with an LS and one with a GSR swap. but your the second person to ask about the K series into a scion..y? if you have to relocate a mount on a civic to fit a K20 theres going to be a million changes to a TC, and to get the thing to run wouldnt be fun. my input be different and be the 2nd person to swap a V6. if they did an auto v6 do the manual v6. idn do what you want but the last person that asked that question got bad input too. sorry strongly disagree
it happens all the time because it is highly effective and cost efficient.
it is your car, feel free to be different and unique, but after all that work to put a different engine in and make it work where are you going to be?
what kind of power does a K24 put out? aren't most honda motors fairly high on hp and low on torque? and also, the honda element is hardly a hot rod, so i'm not convinced this is going to be a totally _____en swap.

ah you beat me to it drax lol. im not dissin your idea by any mean on the k24 but its so not worth it. like drax said and i slightly mentioned gettin the thing to run. and harnesses are different just so not worth it unless you had 2billion dollors and just say you bought a tc and paid someone to swap a K24 or K20 or w.e you want ____ a viper v10 lol but realisticly the V6 toyota engine would be hard enough it its liek brands
awh... K24A4, aka, the "Accord's engine". this is really going to be weird having a honda engine in a toyota car but for shocks and giggles, meh... i actually despise you for your luck because i really want to swap my sizzy engine out for a bigger one and that's what one of the engines im looking for! damn you honda for giving me a K20A3!!!! arrrgghghghg!!!
okay, back to the subject. my biggest concern for you is the drive-train fitting in and aligning properly with the wheels. you'll have to have custom engine mounts from Hasport to fit everything in, that is if they fit in the tC's engine bay. then, if you wanna boost, gotta get Hondata K-Pro. next, a converter for all your sensors and dials to read correctly on the tC's gauges. total cost could go well in the range of $10,000 or even more. oh yah, uhm, the 2az-fe would technically be more advance in terms of performance. you'd be swapping out a perfectly fine 2.4L engine with another 2.4L engine that isn't more advance nor more mod friendly (2AZ-FE's VVT-i > K24A4's i-VTEC). there's no variable valve timing on the exhaust valves so don't expect that great of a performance on a chuck of metal that was meant for fuel economy.
if you no longer want to go with this swap, ill happily take that engine from you and your friend's hands. for, lets say, for free.
