so im looking into getting a TRD intake but im worried about passing inspection if i do get it im on long island im just wondering if i should actaully be worried about it and if anyone else in New York with an intake has trouble passing inspection

 

i have the injen cai,mine passed inspection,they just tell you as long as theres no cel on youll be fine,but then again every inspection shop is different,

 

I have the trd intake on my tc.. I am a nys licensed inspector.. There's no way u can fail for it in nys..

 

I have a Raceland CAI and no problems passing either.

 

in NYS, as long as you do not throw any codes you are fine.

as long as you dont have your CEL on you shouldb fine. i have I/H/E and they passed it.

In NYS your intake will pass inspection as long as it does not have the CEL on. And if you disconnected your battery or it died for some reason, make sure to drive it 30 or so miles first before going in for the inspection. This is in order to clear the "monitors" in your OBDII system.
