Okay guys. So I'm driving like 60mph on the highway and it felt like i braked and hit the gas again; as if i was messing around with the throttle. Now I wouldn't know if this could be a throttle body problem. Or if it could be a transmission problem. Any ideas?

 

clean your mass air flow sensor or something. has it only done this once? i dont think a manual transmission would do somethin like that. auto, maybe.

 

happened 3 times. idk. it might be spark plugs. it might be maf. or tranny. or even boost leak? but i wasn't even in boost. so i'll have to see.

 

changed the spark plugs. how do i clean the mass air flow sensor? just blow air into it when the car is off?

 

Definitely not a transmission problem. Sounds like something is dropping out. Not the TB though as that will trigger safe mode since it is DBW. does sound like MAF or wiring short. Any CEL's?

 

yup a CEL. I checkeed it a few days ago. Said Cylinder 1 and 3 misfire. But that was before the spark plugs. After I put in new plugs, i haven't checked it yet. I need to check it now and see what happens. Oh n my o2 sensors are somewhat off...could those affect if as well?

 

they make special mass air flow sensor cleaner. just unscrew it from your intake and give it a good spray down.

and i doubt your o2 sensors would have anything to do with it.

 

okay thanks. i'll go check a local shop after this weekend, i need to fix it. it definitely annoys me
