Need help. Just bought 2008 Scion tC from the auction and replace battery and starter.

Car won't crank. Need help immediately.

Are you sure it's not locked up? If not, I would inspect the battery and starter cable assemblies stem to stern. Look for fraying wire and or damaged cable connectors. If everything looks good, consider an alternator test. If the test fails, have the alternator repaired or replaced.

 

Took alternator to autozone and had them test it. And it good. I check all wires are good. Do I ha e to put the car in neutral before trying to turn the crank shift bolt? To check to see if the engine is seized or not.

 

is it automatic? if so, it may need a neutral safety switch. try shifting to neutral and starting the car.
