They all do, that's for warranty purposes. So basically, if your s/c craps out, & you go to the dealer for warranty work & the cap isn't on there, BYE BYE WARRANTY, you're paying to get it fixed out of pocket.

the 07+ temper bolt is not hard to take off, dremel works best, also theres nothen different between 05-08 gut wise, same pos bearings. if ur gonna get a s/c be sure to save up and get ready to buy a new shaft from gompka, and new bearings and seal from kikcaffine. crap im on the 3rd s/c. and they voided my warrenty beacause of a oil catch can and a throttle body spacer which i forgot was even on the car

okay so what's more reliable? turbo or supercharger? seems like everyones having problems going f/i...maybe all motor setup is going to be the route if you want reliability

If you want reliability keep the car stock. Perfomance parts break!

yeah i kinda figured that..but i mean out of the 2 which is going to be more reliable turbo or supercharger? i heard descendant is trying to make their turbos legal which is why i'm even considering going turbo..if not i'll go all motor setup..i know i'm not going to make crazy whp gains but i just want to make my car a little bit faster with pretty good reliability because it is my daily driver after all

what i have learned so far is that turbos require a lot of work and tune-ups and if something goes wrong its a lot more money to fix it. i would say for most reliable is s/c ONLY if u get the bearing/seal kit and shaft kit. that way u replaced all crapy bearings, and crapy seal. after that i should be grand and wont have to worrie about it breaking down.

I would have to agree with goodguy. I have owned turbo cars before and they get very expensive and are a lot more work than a s/c. I have about 1400 invested in my complete s/c setup right now and im very happy with it. I only have 500 miles on my s/c but willing to rebuild the s/c when that time comes. All bearings wear out maybe even faster in turbos because of the higher temp's.

You use the oem top of the airbox so you never even remove the maf sensor. Fits perfect.

I just answered the question today..
Will a 05-06 trd s/c kit fit at 07+?
And the answer is YES
The complete 05-06 supercharger kit fit my 07 perfectly, yes every nut and bolt! All you need to do is swap out the exhaust manifold for a 05-06 manifold(direct replacement)and get the 07 ecu reflash at the dealer. That is it!!!! I followed the 05-06 s/c install manual step by step. I did not have to fabricate or change anything at all on the install. I just finished the install today, and can provide pictures. The supercharger runs great, with no problems! DO NOT listen to others that just say it cannot be done, when they havent tried themselves.
Special thanks to sonofabeoitch for providing infomation on this subject to make my install possible!

how much $$$$ is to get the ECU reflash at the dealer.
do I have to remove the ECU from my tc and bring it to the dealer???
or bring the tc with the Supercharger already installed???
The ECU ned to be reflash before the intall of the S/C or after???

thank's and excuse my ignorance.

Silly, you could've just PM'd me & asked me since you want my s/c, haha.

You install the s/c & take your car to the dealer, no need to remove the ECU.

As for price of install etc. I paid ~$500 which included the reflash.

Doesn't matter if its on or not. Mine was on and they told me "doesn't matter if its on, anyone knows you can take it off easily" so yea.
