Even with the heat shield off of the exhaust manifold, the supercharger wouldn't bolt on?? Or will it fit if you would've gotten an 07 TRD modified heat shield?

 

yea it will not fit with the 07+ exhaust manifold period, with or without the heat shield. The 07+ manifold runners are a lot taller than the 05-06 manifold. I tried it..

 

Hey, hope I'm not bothering with my questioning, but what about the "supercharger mounting bracket" that I assume mounts on the transmission. There's a revised bracket which I believe is the one that fits on the transmission, what did you do about that??

Missing a few parts though, and my 05 kit was off my old tC lol

 

the old bracket and the revised bracket are the same. the 07 kits come with the revised (i believe).

 

Why would they be the same if they are revised?? PTR01-21050-90 from the 05-06 even has a different part number from the 07+ PTR41-21060.
Anyone have any info on this??

 

the bracket for the 05-06 were weak and broke. the ones that came in my kit broke. and since it was a used kit and was not installed by the dealer i had to buy a new one. the new ones were machined, with some washer/spacers for tranny bolt. those were placed in there, think they said something about less stress on the bracket.

 

The brackets are very different. The 07+ are a lot taller to allow the s/c to stand taller to clear the 07+ exhaust manifold.

 

1500 miles on my supercharger and no problems at all. I actually took the s/c off and inspected everything, and all looks good! I did add a hks bov and it sounds awesome!

Changing to the trd airbox would be just for looks kind of thing. It should fit good but I do not know for sure.

 

Does anyone know if this would work with an auto fit kit (07), and if this would be covered by waranty still?

 

Auto fit kit will work fine. The supercharger carries its own one year warranty, and the powertrain warranty will still be valid. Thats what my dealership told me.

 

Adding a nst 9.5lb pulley in a few days!

 

hehe - whatever your dealer tells you, go with. Some were fools about the s/c and some were VERY helpful. All depends on the dealer. Have fun the 9.5lb is nice.

 

i have an auto 09... anyone know if the megan racing header will work with the 05-06 supercharger? this would be very helpful... also, i heard teh dealership reflash is crappy... anyother way of reflashing??

 

also, am i correct in thinking that i cant run a cold air intake with a supercharger? i have nitrous tapped into my current cold air intake... would i be able to tap into the stock intake if i put that back on?

 

stay with the dealer flash, it works just fine for me. Im not sure on the header. And you can run a cold air intake on the supercharger, just have to do a little bit of modding.

 

The megan header will not work with the S/C, one of the runners will sit on the shaft where the 1st 3 bolts are, secondly do not run a cold air intake if you are going to be using the dealers re-flash, it will run lean, if you're going to mod your tC with pulleys and cold air/short ram intakes, get yourself a good piggy back fuel management system and get it tuned with those items on of course.
