Default 91 octane (pure gas) or 92 octane (with ethanol)

93 octane gas isn't readily available in these here parts. My premium gas options are typically 91 octane pure gas or 92 octane with ethanol. I'm getting tuned in a few weeks and I'm wondering what I should fill up with to be tuned on. Which will be more reliable/safer, give more power, etc?

Another consideration is what would be better to be tuned on if I would occasionally have to fill up with the other? For example would it be safer to tune on 91 if I might have to fill up with 92 in a pinch, or vice-versa?

I would do 91 since its more common for you. Might see a tiny bit less power from 92. 91 is all we have in california, i hate all the midwest, eastcoast people and there 93 and e85:/

I believe it would be safer to tune on 91 incase you have to fill up on 92...

Good point, except I would say tune of 91 and run 92 for the lower egt, and of ever u find yourself without 92 you atleast know your car can safely run 91
