AEM, 314whp@12psi
yup. Its a real ecu instead of a piggyback
I am just curious about which AEM they are using. I am really familiar with their product(been a honda guy for way too long). I am pretty sure its the 30-1050 box, but thought I'd ask just to see. I was in the process of doing something similar with my xA and the AEM. One of my customers is about to pick up where I left off with there xB.
I know this is an expensive option, but in my opinion for those who want to do it right, this is the best choice they currently have.
it depends how much someone can benefit from this ecu - seems like the eman ult has so many options most people are going w/ that.
And this might stur up a whole can of worms........
But you cannot compare the Emanage Ultimate to the AEM EMS. Like the good ol' saying "you cannot compare apples to oranges"
The Ultimate is still a piggyback ecu that "fools" the factory ecu for fuel and igniton timing. It does not offer full control. You are just basically fooling the factory settings. Yes it works but only offers so much control, and with the factory ECU still involved you never no what to expect. Your so limited its not even funny.
The AEM EMS is a full stand alone system. The ecu adapter and the way that it is wired all the Fuel and Ignition Maps are coming from the EMS, nothing comes from the factory ECU. You have total control. No suprises. Not 25% control like a Emange but 100% control. Now remember your tune will only be as good as your tuner.
Having total control of fuel and ignition especially in a forced inducted application is the RIGHT way to go, granted its more expensive. The other options currently out there(other than say Autronic or Motec) are just band aids...and guess what? band aids are cheap.
Not to get away from this threads topic.
