More people need to know about the option of the AEM EMS for there boosted TC's( xA's and xB's as well)

Hi every, as you all know I have the AEM on my TC and I believe I was the fist one to have one and it definitely works but there was some ingenuity to get it install. Last I heard AEM might come up with a plug and play for the TC, keep your ears open. If this happened the TC’s owners will be able to enjoy a full programmable ECU for their ride.

Yeah I heard the same thing. Last I heard they are in the process of R&D on the drive by wire system. It will be thier first PnP system that works with DBW so it may still take some time before we see it out to the public yet.

I've been waiting to boost my tc untill the aem came out for our cars. I'm a little confused as to what all this comes with for the price, so please someone help me out.

is it just the computor and harness. or does this come with injectors? (what size). and anything else that comes with. please list all items individually for me.

sorry for this but after 9 pages my brain took a sh!^ on me.

 

We, I THINK, are talking about the almost to go out AEM standalone computer. Aren't we?

any Idea of what this may cost, just a rough estimate (like if it's gonna be over $1500)

 

its going to be the AEM ecu pnp harness. That ecu is over $1500 and the harness is gonna be a few bucks because the eman ultimate harness is $300 ....so you would assume this will be hundreds also.

for any kind of long period of time you will not get 400whp. Anything over 340-355whp is stupidity on a stock setup. I think 320whp isn't safe but thats my personal opinion. Upgrades rods are I think start at 400whp ratings ..... how in the world could the stock ones be anywhere near that ... Also - you are messing w/ high psi w/ paper gaskets .....

 

Well man they have done it.
without blowing the engine up.
It's sure not safe for the car.
after that they began rebuilding the engine or so i did understand for daily.

And this is a turbo .... I was giving numbers for a s/c. For a turbo i wouldnt put anything more then 300whp on a stock engine. Simple as that ....

 

with a good tune on the aem you should be able to get some good numbers like close to if not 400hp

Where is that info comming from? Im not being nasty - im just asking - because ive never heard that - ...but then again I have not heard much about the AEM. Im sure you can make some nice hp over the eman but how much? thats the question.

 

i guess it's all in the tuning.
with E manage they can reach those numbers too why not impossible.
if they reached 350 i guess 400 would not be so dificult task.
depends i guess on many thing though turbo sizes, climate etc. etc.
but mostly i guess tuning
