Default Boost Gauge Problem

Ok so I noticed that after hooking up my boost gauge I began to hear a loud tapping noise from time to time at idle. It sounded literally like a helicopter. It was drving me nuts so i went to the store and bought 6,35 straight fittings i believe. I took out the supplied T fitting and replaced it with the proper sized Straight fitting. The inside of the T was very thin despite the T actually fitting snug on the line.

When I replaced the T fitting with the proper sized Straight fitting the noise went away. Here are some pics comparing the size of the T and Straight fitting :

Now im looking for the right size T fititng, but im having a hard time finding one. They sell them at the local auto parts store but none of them have the little metal piece inside the long part of the T fitting (the resistor I believe).

Just get a universal T fitting and it will be all good.

any plastic t fitting will do, it's a fitting. you aren't threading anything or anything like that.

you need air going through it.

as long as it's not like a TINY TINY hole then you are fine.

Update :

After driving with the boost gauge not hooked up the nosie had gone away. So I assumed it was the T Fitting. I bought some bigger plastic T Fittings and tried that out. I had to shave the off part of one of the ends in order to fit the vac line on it and the drove around. The noise seems to have gone away. Although with this set up the needle on the boost gauge had a nervous manner to it.

I got fed up and took the original T fitting that glowshift provided and drilled through it with a drill bit widening it. I hooked it back up and so far all is good.
