I alredy have a vac line running to my boost gauge. So I will tee off that and send a flexible line to the glove-box.

Also the line to the waste-gate is real close to the grommet for the ECU harness on the fire-wall which is right behind the ECU and just a foot away from the glove-box.

I will see where to put mine. Also could I use the tach signal like I have my shift light? From the OBD-II port?

Also the instructions say something about a supplemental relay, what's that? Does it come with the BB? Cause I don't see it anywhere.

From what I have read, the relay is an add on item... you can buy from a car audio shop. Joe used one so he had more power to the box, didnt have to worry about it drawing to much power from say the 12V ignition wire at the ECU and shutting the ECU down or the Black box.

I wonder if the instructions on how to do something similar are provided.

Soros is that included in the instructions on how to set it up with a relay?

The relay is for something as an add on you can use to trigger on a fan, use an intercooler sprayer or something like that.

Here is a diagram of a Relay and how it should be wired... Joe this is the best diagram I could find.. please correct me if this is not how you have yours wired.

30- 12 volt constant wire ( battery)
86- 12 volt Ignition wire ( at steering column or as Joe did Ign. wire at ECU)
85- ground
87- to the switched power source of the black box

Nice, thanks for the diagram. Anything else I need to purchase or should purchase before I go ahead and try to hook it all up?

Maybe Cables for the extra conecctions, a plastic tee for the vacuum source, and... I can't think of anything else.

Ok, I have a two part question about the Black Box. I understand it better now, and what it suppose to do, which is be able to tune on part throttle boosting. At what % rate is it no longer part throttle? Full throttle is 100%. Is part throttle at say 75%? And above 75% would be considered full throttle. Looking for when the engagement point takes place. When the Black Box stops, and the Emanange takes over.

2nd part

What type of projection is estimated on problems to occur? Products are created to help with problems or future problems. This product was created for people like me, who will sometimes part throttle boost, to pass that car blocking your lane. This has been identified as a problem or future problem, therefore the Black Box was developed as a solution. My question is, exactly how long is the Future? How long do you expect a 2az to last or develop a problem with someone who doesn't have a Black Box, and part throttle boost it on occassions?

Very good and interesting question. I wonder if anyone can accurately quantify and answer to it though...

Partial throttle according to some rough notes on Joe's car is enabled until about 70-75% throttle.

Estimation on problems to occur from the black box? Fouling plugs and O2 sensors quickly because people may become more probable to be heavy footed, more often. That is about all I can forsee.

With respect to the possiblity of motor failure without the black box, your guess is as good as mine. There is no educated answer or I guess I can give because of some many external factors such as: boost levels, tune on the EMS, EMS, octane, etc.
