I have yet to see that from other kits, plus, he has had ZERO issues with it thus far, he has had the Dezod kit since i known him.
My other buddy that was with us that night with the stage zero, has replaced the wastegate gasket at least 3x, and the turbo just blew a seal already, he has had the ZPI kit for 1500 miles. The other guy i mentioned with the stage 1 ZPI, he has also replaced his turbo once.
The creater of this thread wants insite for his decision on buying a turbo kit, im giving it.

It's very interesting that he was able to run that on the "out of the box" tune as you mentioned. Was he on the "out of the box" PSI as well? I sorta have the exact opposite experience with one of our crew members who has the Dezod kit with the Dual BB turbo upgrade on it (the F something turbo, forget the name, it was which ever one Joe Dezod is running).

He took his car to get tuned (If you can think of a turbo being "boring", his was), the spool on it was really weak, took forever. He went for a tune, and before the tune "out of the box", he layed down just about 200whp on the "out of the box" tune and PSI level. The tuner pumped him up to 240ish whp now, and he says the car is a lot better (I have not rode in it since the new tune). But 200whp and it spooling that slow would have not netted him a 13.3. Probably high 13's at best.

You are in a different area (climate, altitude, etc). So, this could have effected/altered the differences between the two.
Wow thats kinda slow ___ turbo, prolly something is wrong somewhere else? People who got same turbo gained a lot better numbers than that.

As for which turbo is fastest, its really not that easy to conclude unless a good number of dynos, races and track records has been compared. Stage 1 kits may not perform as good as the others but their performance shouldnt be that far when a legit comparison is done where things like driving skill, humidity, altitude, tune, boost level, fuel and etc are considered. And it even makes it hard to compare considering they're different turbos making different power at different rpms depending on which part you look at. Overall best setup is not only determined by the power/torque it makes but things like potentials, driveablity, looks, sound, price and reliablity should be considered. So it really just depends on which perspective you are looking. My opinion dezod vs. zpi? Dezod is better, heard less complaints bout them and more good reviews..

Did I say you were lying...,..geesh! You shared an experience, I shared one. It's not always going to be the same, so the newbs need to get that picture that every turbo kit out is not a slap on and drive affair. There is not a single kit without problems, so I would rather give both positive and negative aspects of turbocharging your vehicle to let people know what they could potentially be getting themselves into.

It's not about you or me bro....

Look at the date on that film dude. It's a year+ old. If she wanted to race in Heels, I'm not going to stop her. You would have never known that was the problem if I did not explain that to you in the film, OBVIOUSLY if I was embarrassed about that, or thought statements like yours were going to somehow "hurt" my feelings/pride, I would have never put it in the vid to begin with...

Heels $40 a pair
Turbo kit + supporting mods $8k

Racing against egomaniac males that think they will win automatically because she is a girl and she is in heels and they get their feelings hurt.......Priceless.

For everything else, who gives a rats ****.

If you choose your turbo based on dyno numbers, I feel sorry for you. Dyno's should NEVER be a benchmark for which kit to choose. How it performs in the real world should.

+1, to many factors to consider, as well as what are your ultimate goals with the kit.

You also have to look at how many reviews there actually are.

Yeah I know...lol.

It's too bad you don't have the time slip, I would have liked to seen his 60foot.

I think even Joe Dezod was having a hard time running that good on 10+ PSI with Drag radials.....let alone running that on factory tires with the base tune and base PSI. (not calling you a liar or anything, just saying that the rarity of this is exponential).
