btw Ace, Autotech is still showing the Quaife LSD's under the clearance section. $499 seems like a heck of a deal if you ask me. Along with the bearings, seals, nut and FIG, I don't think you'll go past $700 installed if you do it yourself.

great choice bro, the lsd is a must, i love mine. although i do wonder what that os-giken one is like?

 

question removing the tranny cover, i removed all the bolts and pried a good crack open.. but its seems stuck at some point like something is holding it from inside, do i just keep prying it or i need to do something from inside to get the cover out?

 

Holy wow that is an amazing deal! It gets harder and harder to justify spending so much more for the OS Giken...

 

it needs to be even all around to slide out, also I don't remember if maybe you might have to remove a bolt outside on the side. I just followed the toyota pdf, post pics bro

 

yea went ahead and followed it this time.. I was lazy tried to do a shortcut, didnt open the back so i couldnt get it off.. and when i did lol there was tons of things to remove haha.. will be finishing it in few days when im off.. taking out those snap rings sucked a bunch of my time. Pics will be up soon.

so no speedo gear shouldnt give me issue? anyone contest this? I doesnt shim the bearing and i dont see anything in there makes it read speed..

 

you should be fine without it ace...the first time i seen that gear in there it looked as if it shimmed the bearing out but it doesnt.
