Default Help..Inter-cooler piping keeps blowing out of hose clamps..

OK, we went 1 step colder and I ran good for about a week she hooked up nicely and everything but tonight coming home and kicking boost to about 2 psi launches down a road i blew out my throttle body part of my Inter-cooler

This is the 4th set of my plugs that I have blown in 2 weeks. what am i doing wrong to be having my piping blow all my hose clamps are super tight ...my friend said to buy some industrial hose clamps.

Any other ideas

ive done the hair spray in different parts but i feel that its cheap now since the issue just moved from that spot to another coupling spot so that idea is out ...i think i might try those t bolts i wonder if i can pick them up locally ...probably not

Hair spray always works. You should have a bead on your piping for the couplers also. T-bolt clamps will work but hairspray is cheaper.

3 sure fire steps to keep those pipes on...
1)bead roll the ends of the piping
2)Spray some heavy duty hairspray or tack grip on the piping
3)T bolt clamps...ditch the crappy worm gear hose clamps

If your still blowing charge pipes off after doing those 3 things, then you got serious problems lol

mmm bead roll! every kit should come with bead rolled pipes.

I took all my pipes off, hairsprayed them, retightened them, and no problems. Before that, i was blowing them off everytime i got into boost. it sux.

I'm confused, is the coupler blowing off that connects the throttle body and charge pipe?

Does the pipe of a lip or beads on it? If it doesn't, I recommend using low grit sand paper and sandding off the polish on the end of the pipe that is covered by the coupler and used silicone that bonds to metal and rubber.

Are you using rubber or silicone couplers?
