Default Hesitation on Startup

I'll try to keep the steps I've followed in the past two months short.

2006 Scion tC - Turbonetics Turbo kit running just under 8lbs. Expertly installed and tuned by Kenny Tran at Jotech in Dallas, TX at around 5k. Car now has 80k on the clock.

- Car threw a misfire code on cyl 1.
- Swapped coils 1 & 4
- Code thrown again on cyl 1.
- Did professional fuel system clean. 3 steps. At a place I trust.
- Car ran perfectly for a couple of months.
- Noticed misfire again...now hyper-sensitive to it.
- Pulled injectors. Sent to Deatsch Werks for professional cleaning. Did an AMAZING job.
- Reinstalled. Car runs like it's brand new. EXCEPT it won't crank right up when cold. When warm, it turns immediately over. Cold. Wump wump wump...nothing. Turn key again, wump, vrooom. Perfect idle. No hesitation on acceleration.
- Cleaned out 80k worth of gunk from throttle body. Yuk. Replaced filter while I was at it. Cleared ECU.
- Car fights to start, but does torn over. Runs perfectly. Starts on second key turn cold. Starts up fine warm.

So....WTF is going on? Any ideas?

I know this is a different vehicle but my s10 did that exact thing with only starting on the 2nd try. Was a fuel pump issue. Wasn't getting enough fuel pressure the first try. Had to turn key to on. Let pump run its cycle then do it again and start up. Just my $.02.

But I'd guess a fuel pump issue would cause issues with running lean too so I am probably way off base.

A fuel supply issue could be the problem but I can't imagine the pump would have gone bad at the exact time I replaced the injectors. There's no leak or fuel seepage anywhere that I can see either. I did smell a faint gas smell but I think that was likely residual fuel from reseating the injectors. It seems to have dissipated.
