just got back from the machine shop. I dropped off the rotating assembly. should have it back in about a week. worked all day today on disassemble and cleaning, found #1 piston was fubar'd. It didnt just crack one ring landing but demolished the first and second ring landing..lmao..thats det for ya. hopeing to have the car up and running next week.

as soon as I walked up with my parts i seen a 2az sitting in the shop floor...they get alot of the camry 2az's from around 03-05 that have stripped threads. I heard about that happening on a couple of other toyota forums but didnt know it was that bad.

I marked everything i sent to the machine shop so nothing would get "lost"..not that i dont trust these guys, its all about C-Y-A..

not sure ace...not right away though thats for sure. I was going to do a quick rebuild on the head (replace valve stem seals and lap in the valves) but i dont want to bother with it unless i got other components to go with it (bc cams, valves, bc springs, ect)
