P.S. Well if 1_Klean still got his brakes in July i mean wilwood for $600 is a steal i might still grab them..But AEM EMS is a strech in cash..

What do you guys think is it worth getting it now ?
I mean i'm getting deployed in September and will not use it ( obviously for a year )

Is it worth it ? What if by the time i get back theres going to be something better and badder ?

I was quoted $700 for AEM EMS tune.

how is that price ?

 

idk...i think that sounds right...cant remember what my tuner charges for standalone.

 

Man i dont know $1600 for EMS and 700 for a tune..

but with ems= 7000 redline, 2 step and much better tuning.

grrr $2300

Are all AEM EMS unit something like vehicle specific or they are the same and its just the harness ?

i see that one can be picked up for 1100 and the just get the harness or am i wrong ?
and they are for specific car ?

 

I think they are just like any other ecu and are universal. I am not sure though man. I would guess its just a PNP harness from making it scion compatible. If your car gets tuned at kaizen Ill be there all day with u man. Those guys are pretty chill and do really nice work.

 

dont get any aem ems from other sources other than dezod.. there is no aem ems specific for the tc and what dezod did is modified the aem box to make it compatible with the tc and save you tons of headaches.. any tech support you get from dezod.. i dont think there is a full pnp yet for the aem but its close to pnp..

700 standalone tune is awesome price assuming they do complete tune, but dezod should hook you up with a base calibration to save you some dyno time

Now i know that Dezod is the only way.
I spoke to Paul about it few days ago and he said that in the next few week they will complete the fix of A/C and it will be fully compatible Race or Street box.

He reccomended i go with Race box as it gives more options and when the A/C fix is implemented it will be no negatives about it.

 

ohh and what do you mean by complete tune ?

like 2 step/rev limiter raise and stuff like that ?

 

i think he means full as in tuned all the way. low speed, patial throttle, idle, 2 step rev limiter. Elevation would be a good one to ask he has the aem ems.

 

hmm i guess i will need to verify that with them..but i'm sure that is for complete tune and not half-assed data logging.

 

If only it where THAT easy. I wish it was. Custom wiring, mod modified box, custom calibration.
