nope they cant tune it, they dont have a dyno.

I will tune it in NY, i will either have Don or Paul come to NYC and tune the car or i will transport the car to Ptuning. It all depends on which standalone i will be using.

Ok guys my turbo was shipped today !

Now i want to tell about my experience with Paul and Don.

Paul has been really helpfull in selecting the turbo to fit my needs, we exchanged alot of emals and spoke on the phone quiet few times to make sure i get what i need.
Paul was also nice enough to clarify all other questions that i had at the time, he also broke down all the prices and questions i asked him. Don is also a great guy, always helping me out if i have a question about tuning or certain engine part.

As far as the pricing for the turbo, i got a better deal then expected and its definately a surprise to me ! I was surprised, hige smile appreared out of nowhere and i took it as a gift from Paul lol..Thank you very much guys !

You guys like "Alexander Ovechkin" of customer service and support as well as making very good deals! Always on time, always deliver , always show up !!! You guys ROCK ! And i hope we can continue this business relationship in the future with good deals, service and product and ofcourse prices !

P.S. For those who are not hockey fans, look up Ovechkin

Thanks Brock
those things are also coming with great prices, lol... I just hope there is no other problems once the turbo goes in. I hope the engine doesnt leak or anything like that.

And if everything is tip-top, then you will see pics and dyno graph in december after i get tuned either by Don/Paul or over at Ptuning, it will depend on which EMS i will get.

I got a major question !

My shop recieved the turbo today, they said its nice ( ofcourse it is )
BUT they also said its alot smaller then my 50 trim !

How is it possible that 60 trim turbo looks smaller then 50 trim ?

Your compressor housing is a "B" on this new turbo versus the "E" on the old turbo.

That is all.

Tell them to measure the compressor inducer wheel measurement then report back to you.

Correct as Paul said.. they're alive and kicking. They're just not using Garrett internals any longer for their turbos.

My car has started yestarday ! But the idle was very rough due to cams and due to cams not being shimmed.

So now i will transport the car possibly to Dezod where they will finish it off and tune it. My shop and i didnt know that the head's cams were not shimmed.

yeah but my shop cant even test it fully for leaks or drivability because they afraid to drive it and it wont stay idling unless revved. But so far they said it doesnt leak and looks good. So i'm ordering a transportation truck to send the car to the tuner and finish the head.

well the truck yes , the thing is that the head is actually not shimmed kind of discourages me .. i thought its just a slap-on and go..

but at least when the car arrives at dezod they will be able to finish it , tune it and check for leaks and stuff like that. I know Don and Paul would do a great job on everything the only sucky part is that they will street tune it and not dyno.. is there a real difference to it except knowing numbers ?

well to tell the truth its up to the tuner imho...on one hand you will get numbers with a dyno and in some cases may be easier on the tuner to fine tune everything. on the the other hand the dyno cant simulate real world driving such as stop and go traffic, hills, rapid decel, ect.

so you could look at it like this dyno for numbers or street tune for comfort. just my two pennies

If Don or Paul will tune the car on the street i think it will all be good and once i get to NYC and get the car i'll just go to the shop and Dyno it to get the number. Dyno is like what $75 for 3 pulls ?

I'll have Don/Paul tune the car at 20 and 12 psi.. 20 being race setting and 12 being daily driver. I hope my clutch can handle it.

But the my shop said that my ACT clutch is VERY stiff.. i think its also due to it being brand new.. man my whole car is like brand new, lol

clutch
flywheel
turbo
head
block

all have 0 miles !
