So what exactly has to be done ? measurment of valve lashes and purchase of new buckets and/or shims ?

for example this is what Ptunign has for sale:

http://www.ptuningscion.com/subdir/s...el=model&Brand=

and this

http://www.ptuningscion.com/subdir/i...l&ModelDesc=tC

also to make this head work is it a MUST to pull the motor and take the head off and out of the car again ?

Ok, i relayed all that info to the shop and also relayed that link that you posted Chris, thanks alot man !

so after they take the measurments, what do they have to do ?

So basically to make this work with those cams , it can be done with the head and motor still in the car ?

well it look like i will be getting screwed out of about $1000..

500 to pull te motor and Ptuning quoted me 495 to make this head perfect. Now how come Ptuning is offering to shim this head and make it work with those cams without having my block ?
and Dezod told me they didnt do it or didnt say anything about because the block was not in front on them ?

But at the end of the day i'm the guy who's taking it in the rear once again !

thing is if the valve stem is too close so it pushes the valve "bucket" higher than what you can order (correct valve bucket) then youll have to disassymble the the head and grind down the end of the valve stem...

i personaly dont think that they will run into this issue but it can happen i suppose.

it does ____ me off that Yev's shop wont do it...its not that big of an ordeal, unless they suspect they have effed something up and just want to be able to pass the blame off to some other shop...its possible.

I wish yevs car was here i could step outside and in 30min get some sort of idea if the valve stems will need extra care. and in 60min have measurments ready and picked up the phone to order. no matter how you look at it now yev is going to have to spend a buttload more cause his shop is being a d-bag about it.

Yes double buttloads because the head is gotta come off as far as i understand. I really dont know what else my shop could mess up, because so far theres no indication they did besides thinking that the head is PnP.. i thougth that as well actually.. but i wish someone new about the head or dezod would tell me that i need more work on it. What can the shop mess up, they have a block ready to go in, they have a car, they have everything else, ( all the fluids, oil filters and so on.. ) i supplied all of that crap !

Here's a copy of PM from MrC.

If you want us to redo your cylinder head so the cylinder head is perfect, we can definitely do that.

If you send us just the cylinder head and camshafts that you will be using, we can deck the cylinder head, valve job, vacuum test, clean, and clearance the valves for $495+any parts that might be need to be replaced (shim buckets, valve stem seals, etc.)

If you drop off the car, we will have to remove the engine from your car, pull the cylinder head, redo the cylinder head, reassemble the long block, reinstall the engine back into the car. This is going to add $2000 to the $495 cylinder head work+cost for new head gasket.

We do offer a military discount of 5% of parts and 10% of labor. Most of the cost mentioned above will be labor so you will get 10% off the total.

Let me know if we can assist you in resolving this issue with your motor.

Regards,
MrC

I hope theres really nothing wrong with the car except this _____ing head ! I wish i didnt get this build head, i wish i've gotten it later or from someone who would either have it 100% done or would let me know that it needs a little more work. It would be ALOT cheaper if the head was still off the car.

Anyway, i hope theres nothing more to it, and the car will go to World-racing in reading PA for tuning and maybe for Descedant intake manifold before/after dyno and maybe fuel return set up.. ( depends on the $$$)
