The head studs get torqued to ARP specs not factory spec. The only thing you do is use the head torque sequence from the factory.

ok today we checked the system and put the hose back on and everything seems to be good. No smoke and after few power runs on 12 psi ( 12 psi produced 337WHP and 320WTQ ) coolant level didnt go up so headgasket is good.

map is smooth and power is excellent.

2 issues now.

1) cars does NOT idle after its warm. Cold start is good and after it warms up it dies !
2) Tiny little crack on dezod manifold !

anyway, does anyone has ANY experience with idle on hydra ?!

like it stalls when it warms up or on warm start up it doesnt idle? vinny should be able to fix that.. it may have something to do with your coolant and air temp fuel and ignition trim.. or your idle speed control setting

on warm start it doesnt idle.

If the car is cold, you start its perfect. Once its warm it shuts off.

And one more thing, Vinny really does not like those 900cc ptuning injectors, he said they dont open and close fast enough on low rpm and he think if we had 700-750cc injectors we wouldnt have this problem.

also, he checked the alternato voltage and he said my alternator priduces little les power then it should...

Could that be a problem ?

alternator are freaking expensive.

There's no reason why you should not be able to get your car to idle with our 900cc injectors. If we can get a tc making 400whp with a $400 F/IC (which has no control over idle) to idle without stalling, there's no reason why you can't get a $2000 standalone ecu to idle without stalling. Keep in mind you're using aftermarket cams which has a usually has a lot more overlap than stock cams. The overlap at low rpms will create a bit more intake reversion causing contamination of the intake charge. This may require you to idle the car a bit richer than stoich (14.7:1) to keep the engine running smoother at idle. Try idling the car at 14.0:1 first and keep richen it up by .5 point until the car idles on it's own. There's a possibility your idling issue may be caused by something other than the injectors.

Also keep in mind you're running injectors twice the flow capacity of the factory injectors so there's always some compromises. It's like having a twin-disc clutch setup that holds 800# torque and expecting to feel, sound, and engage like a factory clutch--there's always going to be some compromises.

Make sure you get the injector battery offset correct with the injectors as this can also cause problems overall on the idle and tune of fuel delivery.

if i cant get this fixed today, i wonder if Idle Air Control Valve Kit would solve this issue. Gotta find it and might have to overnight it..

but hopefully i dont need that.. i cant believe we have such a hard time getting the car to idle warm.

Both mr.c and paul gave you good adivse!

I had no problems idling with 900cc injectors..

But i idled my car around 13.8-14.0 for smooth idle..

Coolant fuel map
Ait fuel map
coolant ignition
AIT igntion

Something needs tweaking!

Yev, you should listen to some of these guys, specifically MrC & Paul. They've given you valuable information that you should definitely pass along to Vinny. Buying new items and tossing more money into temporary fixes, like an idle air control kit, is a band-aid fix and does not solve the issue at it's core. You've spent entirely too much money on a great build and should focus on having the best tune. Pass it along to Vinny and he'll get you squared away.
