Default Mechanical Oil Pressure Gauge Setup

Just need some clarification of the setup.
I'm reading the PDF instructions from the Autometer website and I think I might be missing some parts. I would list the parts but that would make this longer than needs to be.

Have I connected this properly minus the bulb?

One issue that bothers me is the nylon line is not really secure in the 1/8" NPT adapter and can easily come loose that's if I'm not missing a sealing nut or ferrule per the instructions.

Please those with experience on this chime in.
One more thing where in the firewall is the best area to run this line the driver side grommet or passenger side?

what made you get a mechanical gauge, you have to have the oil line coming through the car,and if the line comes loose your gonna have oil all over inside the car, just my 2 cents..

i actually had the autometer boost gauge, and that cheap nylon tubing which i dont suggest using kept coming loose,..you dont want that to happen esp with a oil line

tRUE you confirmed my theory.
About the gauge I bought it a year ago but now my motor is built so I'm going to use it.

So my06tc I'm going to run stainless lines then. What do you think??

I also have the oil adapter sandwhich but I'd rather run the line straight from the head.

Everything in your setup looks fine. I also have one. But the most important thing is the compression nut. Make sure it is evenly compressed around the nylon line, or it WILL leak. As long is that is good, your golden. I've ran the same gauge for the last year, no problems. Hope everything works well!

Thank you for the knowledgeable responses.

I figured I was missing something especially the compression nut but I just picked up an approximately 5ft stainless steel line from my fabricator at wicked cheap cost.

Letting it soak in degreaser/cleaner over night and then clean it off tomorrow and then install.

Thanks again

i cant believe they didnt give you a compression joint...or 2! lol, i figured in your pictures you already had them compressed between the fittings. well stainless will take the cake over any of this so, good luck!

Everytime I think about a mechanical oil pressure gauge, I imagine hot oil squirting me in the eyeball causing me to wreck while the motor spins a bearing due to oil starvation because 4 qts of oil are in my lap.

Yea, maybe that is why they mounted the gauges on the cowl in between the hood and windshield.
