Default Minor oil leak. bad seal?

Well Ive smelt oil the last few weeks when i came to a stop, but everytime i checked my oil i lost none!

Just figured it had to be something small. Today i finally found were its comming from!

A very little amount(A drop every few minutes) is comming from, Right were the S/c shaft meets the s/c. and lands on my header!

I took a pic of were its comming from, Is there a seal there? or could it be the start of a bad bearing! You cant see any oil in the pic. it done leak enough to leave a stain.

Sounds like you are one of the large number of people with SC oil leaks That will need to be fixed if it is leaking.

most people are burning massive amounts of oil, most lilkly through the motor. This is not the typical leak for s/c's..

And yes it needs to be fixed, why i asked if it was a seal or bearing so i can fix it !

My friend just got that problem fixed....

I dont know exactly where its at, but there is a part # on here somewhere for a better seal than the TRD part, see if you can get that one installed...

There are lots of threads on various forums (you can search them on here) regarding this issue. So yes, it is a common issue for the SC as far as its issues go. There are threads about replacing the seal on the shaft, part numbers, etc.

Yeah you can pm me if you want and we can talk about it if you want. I can get you set up with the new bearings and seal you would need.
