^^Umm...and what brand laptop is it? Sounds like it shouldn't matter, but some searches did turn up with people having problem with a particular brand laptop. I was using Vista on a Toshiba. You said you had a burnt disc though right? Is it a direct copy from an OEM disc? I kid you not, mine works.
i also have a toshiba laptop....and yes it is a direct copy......i might just order a replacement but ive never been able to get it to work with vista. what update are you using? 2.20?
Atleast it's not the emu circuit board losing parts! LOL
I remember when the ultimate first came out, Greddy had a problem where some of the chips or pieces came desoldered from the circuit board.

I installed 1.14 from the disc (still connects and finds EMU unit with 1.14), and then I updated to 2.20.
Everything works (map trace, data logging..etc).
