when u get ur new manifold. can't you go over the weld's with a stronger weld like a weld on top of a weld.? sry idk shizz about welding

 

thats what i was thinking.. get a dezod mani and then weld over it from the start..

 

Anyone got a manifold i can get off them for 300 or less bucks.. NOT DEZOD? i kinda want a treadstone but its 329 new.. anyone got one cheaper

 

Treadstone mani off of ebay is like $125 - i have one and its held up great - yes youll have to mod the downpipe but the ic piping fits fine - i have a home brew kit but im using dezod piping and it fits fine with my setup. Also, as for quality - it costs a fairly large amount of cash to have a manifold cast - so im about 99% sure the manifold bought off ebay ismade by the same manufacturer and is the exact same as the one sold by treadstone.

so is there any difference between an ebay cast mani and lets say a treadstone brand name mani?

 

the castings look the same...my guess is that the name brand manifold is cleaned up around the flanges & ports to make it a little more high-quality...where the eBay piece is probably a ruff cast that has no finish work done to it. Once again...perfect example of getting what you pay for

 

And yea thats what im talking about - and yes you do get what you pay for but hey mine has held up great for over a year of boost and 20k miles. Not all of us can afford to spend $600-1000+ on a manifold - most of us pay for everything out of our wallet and cant afford to have the best of everything - so we have to compromise and/or find the best deal possible.

 

so lets say the ebay one is 140 shipped and the treadstone is 350 shipped is the 210 bucks extra worth the clean edges and what not? i mean does it effect air flow that much at boost levels above 18psi?

 

Clean it up yourself with a dremel and good bits.
