I'm curious about the connecting rod that broke. Witch cylinder was is?

 

Cylinder #1, closest to the front of the motor

 

Never mind my last question , i looked back at the pictures and figured its the first cylinder. My other question is, Did you have an after market crank pulley on?

 

No, she was bone stock before.

 

Ohh ok,, rule out the pulley then. Gets me a little scared, cause i myself is thinking about getting a supercharger. But it was probably just a freak thing, a bad rod from the casting or something.

 

The belt is fraying (?) - 2 weeks after Equinox started driving it again.... We'll try to get some pics up. Yeesh.


We still haven't gotten around to getting that pool going yet on when Mike's car is going to have a "major mechnical failure".

Buy in is $5. Everyone picks one date. Whoever's picked date is closest to when a Major Mechanical Failure occurs wins. If the car lasts more than a year, equinox keeps any cash in the pool.

I'm reserving 6 months from Friday before last.

Equinox's check engine light came on Saturday (8/25). Bringing it into the shop on Monday I think. We think he's leaking oil copiously from somewhere.

Supposedly he hasn't been pushing it

Well what happened is the check engine light was P0420 - Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1) and I do have a very minor oil leak again

I haven't been really pushing it and the highest I shift at is 5800 if that, lately its been about 3k-4k.

I cleared the code, and am waiting to see if it comes back, it could've been a fluke. Also I wont be able to goto Stevens Creek till Friday

 

Ok, now my car shredded another belt.... and it still has the minor oil leak...

It happened in Fremont, CA and towed it to Stevens Creek Scion in San Jose, CA.

Currently I am not too happy with my car

yea mine S/C still got some issues and TRD is being retarded about their warranty coverage
still havent gotten everything i need to takem to court yet
soon enough though I will have all the proper docs to do so
