I would straighten it if it was me, possiably have it pressed flat, also I don't know if this has been discussed on here but a lot of guys on here and in the pro race world are putting rvt on on there manifold gaskets around the exhaust ports, and from what I have heard, it can withstand some high boost that way. If any one wants any info on that, I would hit up rhythmsmoke (travis) about it, that guy knows everything, he is awsome!

What size, length and pitch are the Dezod mani bolts? I'm looking at possibly using them on the 1NZ if they'll fit, didn't get studs with my turbo and am hesitant to use bolts for leak and install difficulty concerns.

The factory studs are 8mmx1.25 pitch, so these should be the same

Thanks, the xB is either 8 or 10mm. If it's 8, I'll probably just order a set from Dezod, then they can be listed as tC AND xB exhaust mani studs.

Standard black RTV is bad, it won't take the heat. Use Ultra Copper

Any auto parts place should have it.

Should flatten down, but try and bend it out as much as you can first so it doesn't kink. is it just bent or is there an actual crease (hard bend) in the copper? If there's a crease, you might need a new one. Not sure how much the copper RTV is really needed, but it won't hurt, is cheap and might help a bit. Just keep it away from the inner edge when you apply it and wait long enough for it to cure.

just bent not really a crease anywhere ill just try and hand straighten and then tighten it down with the new studs.. def gonna use a sealant or silicone w.e cuz i always end up with a mani leak somehow..

Like I said rythmsmoke (travis) knows about this more then I do, I do know chris rado runs this mani gasket with rtv on his road race car, or so I have been told. And you would run the high temp rtv, the red stuff.

Red is high temp (650 F), ultra copper is max temp (700 F). I guess either will work, I just prefer copper.

Can someone get me the dimensions for the Dezod exhaust manifold studs? The xB uses 8mm x 1.25 pitch as well, I'm now just trying to get lengths. For the xB, there's 13mm from the bottom edge to the middle where the non-threaded part starts, and 22.5mm from where the non-threaded part stops to the top edge. Total length is 37.5mm. I'm hoping the Dezod bolts have the same bottom end length and more top end because the Greddy turbo mani is thicker than stock. The ones that come with the Greddy kit are 38mm but they still seem short.

It was a used turbo kit so I don't have the studs to begin with.

I have the dimesions off of a stock stud, they are about 38 mm long total, with a 13 mm base and and about 21 mm of exposed stud that hangs off the head. hope that helps... on a side not I just talked to travis and he will be doing a post on how to do the rtv on the gasket

Chris Rado (World Racing), PTuning, and I do as well.

Nice gaskets by the way. Studs are awesome too (even though I don't have any yet).

Confirmed. The manifold studs fit the 1NZ-FE. I installed these this weekend on a Greddy turbo, fit is excellent. One question though, what are the washers for? They're pretty thick and with them installed I don't have enough thread.
